- Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa says that key Senate Republicans and Democrats are on the edge of a deal on health care. The Senate will of course be a critical stop on the route to health care reform.
- The Senate Judiciary Committee voted yesterday to endorse President Obama's Supreme Court nominee, Judge Sonia Sotomayor. The vote was almost along party lines, with the lone exception of South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham...and Dana Milbank of the Washington Post notes that many of the Republicans voting against Sotomayor did not even show up. I am truly impressed with Sen. Graham's bipartisanship and high degree of honor. Watch his speech defending his vote.
